Sony VAIO VGN-AW310J/H 18.4-Inch Laptop – Gray Review from Donna Manning. Love this machine!, I purchased this computer 3 weeks ago and so far I have no major complaints! It’s fast, I use it to game (world of warcraft) as well as photo editing. It zooms through these with ease!

The two things I would complain about are trivial and inherent in a laptop. One, the screen. It’s very bright and not good for editing photos (even toned down it has issues). I had assumed as much and planned on getting an external monitor. The color is wonderful for gaming and other things however. If you plan on using it for photo editing you will want a different monitor. That said, it is a VERY nice LCD screen.

The other is the spots for usbs, external speakers, and the power supply input. I think those are more a matter of preference. I tend to hook mine up to multiple things and use a USB hub so it’s not a huge deal.

Those are the only things I could even try to complain about, and IMO those are very, very trivial and subject to user preference. I bought 2 external hard drives for my photos.

The built in speakers sound pretty good for a laptop. If you leave it open a lot you might find that the metal grate/grill thing over the speakers likes dust. Not a big deal.

It is a HUGE laptop so I wouldn’t recommend it if you are traveling a lot and want something light and portable.

Battery life is kind of weak but that’s to be expected of such a large laptop, the screen is huge. I keep it plugged in most of the time. It lasts about 2.5 hours for me without the plug.
