Satellite A505-S6979 Review from Mark A Rothenberg. Solid all purpose laptop, I just purchased the A505-S6979. The only flaw is the positioning of the keyboard and touchpad. For some reason, the touchpad is off to the left a bit and the keyboard is not entirely centered. As such, it takes some getting used to. Other than that, the computer worked perfectly out of the box. The lighted keyboard is great for word processing or texting at night. The screen display is crisp and the start up is fast. The video card is great for high-end gaming. I just installed Crysis and it plays as well as it would if I played it on an XBox 360. The laptop is well built. As to portability, you could take this out and about but it is a bit heavy due to the fact that it has a 12 cell battery as opposed to a 6. This model strikes me as being the high end Satellite in terms of all of the features offered (including blue tooth). All in all-I have no complaints. I read the other Amazon review and did not experience the problem that reviewer complained of.
