It is pretty beefy hardware wise. It could use a bigger hard drive but you can always buy an external one. I have Crysis Warhead installed and it runs on the gamer setting fine. Nvidia just released new firmware the graphics card so there is support for the new card, which has 1 gig of ram woot! Other things to mention is that it comes with a mini mouse (cord) and a nice bag with the asus logo on both. Warranty wise it comes with 1 year no questions asked such as drops, spills, fire, etc. and then 3 year parts and labor for technical issues I guess. This is a pretty darn good laptop. I plays the games that I have on there at high settings. (Crysis Warhead, Wolverine, Castlewolfenstein, The Witcher). Audio wise there are Altec speakers and the wifi card is great, I just purchased a wireless N router to go with this N card. I can’t comment on the battery I’ve kept it plug in the whole time. Free Windows 7 upgrade rocks too! Overall I recommend this to anyone looking to buy a laptop from a serious company and get their money’s worth. Lastly I would recommend getting a laptop cooling pad made for a 17 in” laptop.
